Common questions
Common questions
Material and care
How do I care for the bracelet?
Clean it with warm water, a small amount of mild soap and a soft cloth, then dry it fully. No abrasives and no ultrasonic cleaning – both attack the polished surface.
Can I wear it in the shower and for sport?
We recommend taking the bracelet off before contact with salt or chlorinated water, and wiping it dry after wear. Store it dry and apart from other metal items.
Does 316L contain nickel?
Yes. 316L is not nickel-free. What matters for jewellery is nickel release during prolonged skin contact, for which the EU sets a limit. An individual reaction can never be ruled out.
What do shipping and returns cost?
Shipping within Germany is free and takes 2–4 working days. You have a fourteen-day right of withdrawal, and we pay the return postage.
Ordering and shipping
How long does delivery take?
Within Germany 2–4 working days from dispatch, 1–2 with express. Delivery time starts on the working day after payment is received.
What does shipping cost?
Nothing within Germany. Express costs €18.90. To the European Union shipping costs €14.90.
Do you ship internationally?
Within the European Union yes, €14.90 in 3–7 working days. Beyond it not at present; orders with a delivery address outside the EU cannot be completed.
Can I order without an account?
Yes. No account is needed and none is created.
Returns
How long do I have to return something?
Fourteen days from receipt, without giving a reason. To meet the deadline it is enough to send the declaration before it expires.
Who pays for the return?
We do. A label is sent by e-mail on request. This is not required by law – a return should not fail over postage.
Do you offer exchanges?
Not as a separate process. The simpler route is a return and a new order: the amount is clearly allocated and the deadline starts afresh for the new delivery.
The brand
Where is ORVAIN based?
In Frankfurt, Germany. The full address is in the imprint.
How are the bracelets made?
We make no statement about production, because we cannot evidence it. What we know about material, finish and clasp is on every product page; what we cannot evidence is not.
Why do these cost more than other 316L bracelets?
Not because of the material – stainless steel has little material value. The price lies in the form, in how the edge and clasp are executed, and in the polish. You can judge that with the piece in your hand.
