The profile
The polished surface follows the movement of the bracelet, shifting between light and shadow without additional ornament.
316L is the alloy commonly used in jewellery, with chromium, nickel and molybdenum. What that means and where the limits lie is covered in the Journal.
316L explained
Size and fit
Wearing it
- Fit
- The flat construction keeps the piece low on the wrist.
- Pairing
- Sits level beside a watch on the same arm.
- Care
- Wipe dry after wear.
The form
Repetition
Cuban is a single decision, repeated link by link. The flat profile sits against the wrist rather than on top of it, which is why the chain reads narrower than it is built.
What appears as one continuous line from a metre away is, up close, a sequence of clearly separated planes. Those two readings of the same piece are the whole design.
Common questions
How do I care for the bracelet?
Clean it with warm water, a small amount of mild soap and a soft cloth, then dry it fully. No abrasives and no ultrasonic cleaning – both attack the polished surface.
Can I wear it in the shower and for sport?
We recommend taking the bracelet off before contact with salt or chlorinated water, and wiping it dry after wear. Store it dry and apart from other metal items.
Does 316L contain nickel?
Yes. 316L is not nickel-free. What matters for jewellery is nickel release during prolonged skin contact, for which the EU sets a limit. An individual reaction can never be ruled out.
What do shipping and returns cost?
Shipping within Germany is free and takes 2–4 working days. You have a fourteen-day right of withdrawal, and we pay the return postage.
